Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: Special Requests

Thanks for the feedback... I fail to see how this would be considered a "strange request" considering the context of this site (aside from the deadshow forums which I consider an anomoly here myself). I found this site coming from Ourmedia where my musical partners and I publish our music under CC license. I contribute original audio recordings for NoiseCollector's "songs" which contain original music and actual recorded sounds of nostalgic and historic items relevant to the topic of the song. Like a photo album or family 8MM film is to the normal person, so a recording of the ambience of a parking lot or an argument at a band practice is to me. The way most posters in the GD forum revel over shows, I yearn for audio snapshots of things I missed or witnessed that, as time passes, fade into history... or non history.

I will check out that DVD but it probably has copyright issues. I need CC licensed 2.5 or similar stuff that only requires attribution. I find it hard to believe that no one had a tape recorder running outside at an east coast show. I am looking specifically the following things:

Vendors-Hot pretzels, cold beer here (philly thing)
Antics- people meeting at the rocky statue, hooting, laughing, etc.
The muffled reverberated sound of the band playing and people rushing towards the door.
People saying they need a miracle.
People saying they are looking for the "Fun guys"...
Nitrous tanks- PHSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Beer coolers and hot dog grills- going... etc...

I consider it an audio documentary for a future concept album. Our circle of friends were heavily influenced by shows in the late 80's and early 90's. We didn't always make it inside and sometimes didn't try. The experience was always unique though and is something I have no record of except for an occasional picture like this:

Thanks for the advice, let me know if anyone has anything like this and if they can please post it.
